To develop innovative gifting concepts that align with Dewar’s message of exploration and discovery, while introducing creative structures that offer an engaging afterlife beyond the bottle.
For the 12-Year-Old, IPL Design proposed tin-based structures with secondary use as planters. The first concept featured a front-loading rectangular tin that transformed into a long planter once emptied, while the second introduced a rounded version that split into two vessels. Additional rigid board concepts explored double reveals through pop-up cover cards and slanted openings that increased branding surfaces and user interaction.
For the 15-Year-Old, IPL Design developed premium tins and rigid board concepts featuring integrated bee watering stations, drip trays, and silhouette-style reveals. These designs connected nature, storytelling, and brand identity in thoughtful, tactile ways.
The guiding idea was Curiosity Rewarded. Each design encouraged the end user to interact, explore, and discover something unexpected. This philosophy translated into structural reveals, layered storytelling, and playful reuse opportunities.
Each concept was engineered with precision, considering metal forming, embossing, debossing, and printed detailing to enhance tactile and visual impact. Practical usability was balanced with creativity, ensuring every pack could be both functional and beautiful in its second life.
